Where to Park in Boston this Holiday Season

Believe it or not, the holidays are right around the corner! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but for many, it’s an incredibly busy time, too. With so much to do and remember, do yourself a favor and reserve your parking ahead of time.

Here are your best bets for Boston holiday parking near some of the city’s most popular holiday events:

Faneuil Hall Annual Tree Lighting

Date: 11/19 at 8pm

The Faneuil Hall Annual Tree Lighting is the first one of the season! And you have to see this show-stopping light show with your own eyes. Over 350,000 LED lights light up Boston’s skyline – to the song stylings of the Holiday Pops. The seven-minute light show runs continuously every evening beginning November 20th.

Boston Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”

Dates: 11/25 – 12/31

For Bostonians and visitors alike, “The Nutcracker” is an annual tradition. Make the most of your evening out by reserving your parking spot ahead of time.

Boston Pops’ Holiday Pops

Dates: 11/30 – 12/31

One of the most popular seasonal traditions, a Holiday Pops performance is filled with holiday music favorites, a traditional Pops sing-along and even a visit from Santa Claus himself!

Copley Square Tree Lighting

Date: 11/28 at 5:00pm

Get into the holiday spirit with festive music and activities in Copley Square!

Boston Common Holiday Tree Lighting

Date: 12/1 at 5:00pm

Join The Skating Club of Boston at The Boston Common Frog Pond for a free figure skating ice show featuring national and international competitive figure skaters. Following the show, Mayor Marty Walsh will kick off The Boston Common Tree Lighting ceremony.

First Night First Day

Dates: 12/31 – 1/1

For over 40 years, Boston’s First Night has been a New Year’s tradition. It celebrates the holiday season and the beginning of a new year. The event is free and open to all. Entertainment and special attractions will be focused in Copley Square and the Boston Common. On January 1st, Copley Square will be filled with families celebrating the beginning of 2017 from noon to 4pm.

Airport Parking

If you’re catching a flight this holiday season, consider parking near the airport. It’s a smart way to save money on holiday travel without adding a ton of time to your trip. Parking facilities near the airport offer free shuttles to the terminal, too.
