Last week we were excited to announce a move into a bigger and better office. This week we are thrilled to announce a $4.5 Million Series A round of funding. The funding will help us grow even faster in our current cities, and expand around the country to cities that are also feeling the pain of parking.
Chicago Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Battery Ventures, OCA Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Lightbank, G2T3V, e.ventures, Draper Associates, 500 Startups and many prominent angel investors all participated in this round of funding. Knowing so many investors believe in our future is a wonderful vote of confidence.
SpotHero will use the $4.5M investment to expand our parking marketplace. That means you’ll see more parking options and an even better parking experience both online and at the places you park.
Three summers ago, SpotHero was just two guys who wanted to sell individual parking spots to Cubs fans (think Airbnb for parking). Two rounds of funding, three years and 4 offices later, SpotHero is the #1 rated parking reservation app. Today, SpotHero offers daily, monthly, and event parking across seven cities, we have a team of 22 (and counting), and our product lives on the web, iPhones and Android Phones.
