Chicago Air and Water Show Parking

The Chicago Air and Water Show is one of the city’s most anticipated annual events. The largest free event in Chicago takes place each August. The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels take to the sky for a synchronized aerial display for the whole city to enjoy.

The Chicago Air and Water Show this year will take place on August 10 and 11 from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on both days. The show can be viewed along Lake Michigan from Fullerton Beach all the way to Oak Street Beach. North Avenue Beach is the most popular focal point, being one of the larger beaches along the Chicago lakefront. The show is expected to draw over 2 million viewers, so make sure you reserve a parking spot before you head to the lakefront!

Don’t forget! The Blue Angels practice on Friday, August 9, so you may hear some loud noises near you.

Public Transportation to North Avenue Beach

Don’t feel like driving? The 22 Clark St. bus and the 72 North Ave. bus both drop off at Clark & North Avenue, which is a 12-minute walk to the beach. The 151 bus stops at Lake Shore and North Ave., which is a 9-minute walk to the beach.

You can also park at the Millennium Park Garages and take the free Air and Water Show Shuttle to and from North Avenue Beach.
