Lollapalooza

Dates: August 3-6

Location: All across Grant Park.

Details: “Lolla” is back in Grant Park this summer. Visitors can check out nine stages and over 170 bands over this four day event, located in the heart of downtown. Grant Park Music Festival 

Dates: Multiple dates until August 19, full schedule here

Location: Various, most often Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Cost: Free!

Details: This ongoing summer-long concert series is a staple for many for a good reason. Attendees can enjoy live music in the open air from a variety of performers, including acrobats as part of the hotly anticipated Cirque Returns! Seats are free but have to be reserved in advance for most performances, you can check availability here. Space on The Pritzker Pavilion’s Great Lawn is first-come first-serve, but be sure to get there early! Spots can fill up fast!

Chicago Jazz Festival

Dates: August 31- September 3

Location: Millennium Park

Cost: Free!

Details: Jazz Fest returns to Millennium Park this Labor Day weekend for a full lineup of performances and programs. Enjoy local and national talent on multiple stages in this tradition for the last week of summer. Learn more here.

Taste of Chicago: Grant Park

Dates: September 8-10

Location: Grant Park

Cost: Free! Restaurants are a la carte.

Details: ​​“Taste” returns to Grant Park for its final weekend this summer. The annual festival will hold pop-up events in Humboldt Park (June 24), Pullman Park (July 15), and Marquette Park (August 5) first, before taking over Grant Park (September 8-10).
