Grant Park Music Festival

Location: Various, most often Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Details: This ongoing summer-long concert series is a staple for many for a good reason. Attendees can enjoy live music in the open air from a variety of performers, including acrobats as part of the hotly anticipated Cirque Returns! Space on The Pritzker Pavilion’s Great Lawn is first-come first-serve, but be sure to get there early! Spots can fill up fast! Seats are typically free but have to be reserved in advance for most performances, you can view schedules and check availability here.

Taste of Chicago

Dates: July 8-12

Location: Grant Park

Lollapalooza

Getting To Grant Park

Public Transportation to Grant Park

Grant Park is easily accessible by public transportation. The park is served by several CTA train and bus routes throughout downtown Chicago.

Event attendees can take the CTA Red, Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, or Purple Lines to nearby downtown stations including Jackson, Monroe, Adams/Wabash, or Roosevelt, all within walking distance of Grant Park. Metra riders can also conveniently access the festival via Millennium Station, Van Buren Street Station, or Union Station with a short walk or CTA connection.

For those traveling by bus, multiple CTA routes stop near Grant Park and the Museum Campus, including routes along Michigan Avenue, Roosevelt Road, and Columbus Drive.
