Holiday Travel Upgrades At The Sea-Tac Airport
Traveling during the holidays is easily one of the most hectic experiences a person can endure. Everyone wants to be with their distant families as quickly as possible, flight schedules are often unreliable, and even just making your way to the airport can cause a great deal of anxiety. Especially when traveling with families, getting kids out the door, bags packed, and taking care of all those little things that seem to pop up last minute always turns out to be more of an ordeal that originally expected.
Fortunately, a couple of upgrades took place in 2015, making traveling to and from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport faster and more efficient than ever.
Faster Light Rail System
A lot of changes have been decided on or implemented for the Seattle light-rail system this year, with a major expansion coming in 2016. This September, travelers were picked up every six minutes during peak hours at the Seattle airport, rather than the previous seven and a half. This meant having the ability to add more light-rail trains between Seattle and SeaTac.
Less Expensive Parking
Driving to and parking at the Seattle airport has also been made easier. While an app does not yet exist with the power to pack your kids’ bags or fill up your cat’s bowl with a weekend’s supply of food, parking apps have made parking at the airport more convenient. SpotHero recently partnered with parking facilities at Seattle’s SeaTac airport so that travelers can find and pay for airport parking on a budget that works for them. We all know that traveling during the holidays is stressful, but getting to the airport doesn’t have to be.
