Details: This outdoor museum is the resting place of some of Vegas’ most famous former residents: retired signs! Visitors can take a tour of the boneyard or explore on their own and see more than 250 neon signs from Las Vegas history. This spot is fun for daytime visits, but spectacular after the sun goes down and the signs can be appreciated in all their glitzy neon glory. Explore the Fremont Street Experience

Location: Fremont Street, between Main Street and South Las Vegas Blvd.

Hours: Open daily, light show begins after dark.

Price: Free!

Details: If you already hit the Strip and want to explore something new, check out Fremont Street downtown! This stretch is best hit after dark to fully appreciate its multiple attractions, including shops, live performances, and an overhead LED light show that spans the street. Learn more here.

Hit Up The Mob Museum

Details: Located in the first U.S. Courthouse and Post Office in Las Vegas, this unique museum aims to educate visitors about organized crime’s history and its impact on American society. Cheer on the Raiders or dance your heart out at Allegiant Stadium

Discover Red Rock Canyon

Hours: The Visitor Center is open daily from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Trail and Scenic Loop hours vary depending on the time of year. Learn more here. 

Location: 1000 Scenic Loop Drive, Las Vegas

Price: A day pass is $5 for pedestrians and $20 for cars and trucks. Free admission on select days. Timed reservations may be required depending on the time of year. Learn more and purchase here.

Details: This beautiful conservation area is still within the limits of Las Vegas, but it feels like a world away! Whether you spend your visit exploring the many hiking trails on foot, or take the one-way 13-mile drive along the Scenic Loop, a visit to Red Rock Canyon can be transformative. Be aware that timed reservations are required for vehicles visiting the Scenic Loop from October 1 to May 31, 8 am- 5 p.m. so be sure to make your plans in advance!
