4) Terminal Parking at LAX

The CTA has about 7,000 parking spots at 8 parking garages (P-1, P-2, P-2B, P-3, P-4, P-5, P-6, P-7). Terminal parking is available for hourly, daily, overnight, or extended stays. As one of the most expensive parking options around LAX, terminal parking is in close proximity to the airport. The Economy Parking lot has also reopened as of October 2021 after being previously closed due to COVID-19. The Economy Lot is a good option for long-term parking.

Before you arrive at the LAX Central Terminal, you can check the dashboard provided by LAX, which shows you directions and real-time parking availability for each parking structure.

If you drive a larger vehicle, terminal parking might not be your best option. Parking structures 2B and 5 have a maximum vehicle height restriction of 7 feet, and parking structures 1, 2A, 3, 4, 6, and 7 have a maximum vehicle height restriction of 8 feet, 2 inches.

Here, you have to pull a parking ticket at the gate. It’s very important to hold on to that ticket–lost tickets result in a $40 fee, on top of the price of parking

LAX terminal parking doesn’t offer airport parking reservations yet, so it’s important to view the real-time availability dashboard. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis
