To celebrate its 25th anniversary, this year’s Lollapalooza is bigger and better than ever. You registered your wristband, you picked the perfect outfits, and your lineup is lined up.

 

Now how are you going to get there?

 

Believe it or not, parking near Lollapalooza is easy, when you use SpotHero. You can reserve your parking now, either for the entire weekend or for one day only.

 

6 Things To Know Before You Book Your Parking

 

Location Of Entrances: There are two entrances to Lollapalooza. The main entrance is at Michigan & Congress, and the north entrance is at Columbus & Monroe.

In/Out Privileges: If you need your car throughout the weekend, read the details carefully before you book. Some facilities do not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Hours of Operation: Some garages are open 24/7, while others have specific hours of operation. Read the details carefully to determine if the parking facility will be open when you need to enter or exit.

Cancellations or Changes: If your reservation hasn’t started, you can cancel or change your reservation by going to “My Reservations” in your account and clicking the edit button on the parking pass in the app. If something goes array and you need to cancel after it begins, call our customer heroes at 312-566-7768. Need to add more time? You can extend your reservation in the app before it expires.

Public Transit: If you park away from the action, you can take public transit to Lollapalooza. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is easy to use and has convenient bus and train routes throughout the city. You can get a single ‘L train’ ride for $2.25 or a reloadable Ventra card with a 3-Day pass for $20. For more info, check out the CTA’s ‘how to’ guide and fare chart.

Street Closures:

  • Balbo is closed from Columbus to Lake Shore Drive until Thursday, August 4. Balbo is also closed from Lake Shore Drive to Michigan Avenue.  Balbo, from Michigan to Columbus, will reopen Monday, August 1.
  • Jackson is closed from Columbus to Lake Shore Drive until Wednesday, August 3. Jackson from Michigan to Columbus will close Tuesday, July 26 and will remain closed until Monday, August 1.
  • Columbus is closed from Monroe to Roosevelt until Monday, August 1. Congress Parkway (including the Congress Circle) is closed from Michigan to Columbus until Monday, August 1.

Best Parking Deals Near Lollapalooza

Location: Millennium Park Garage is one of the closest garages to Lollapalooza. If convenience is what you’re looking for, this covered self-park garage is steps from the north entrance at Monroe & Columbus. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Weekend Rate: $140 (Thur 7/28 10am – Mon 8/1 10am)

1-Day Rate: $21  for 24 hours on Fri (10am Fri – 10am Sat) or Sun (5am Sun – 5am Mon) – a special 1-day rate for Lollapalooza!

 

Location: 515 S. Financial Pl. is a parking lot about a 10-minute walk from the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. This facility allows in/out privileges, which means you can exit and re-enter the facility during your reservation.

1-Day Rate:  $10 for 24 hours on Sat; $10 for 18 hours on Sun (10am Sun – 6am Mon)

 

Location: 210 S. Wabash Ave. is a covered self-park garage. It is a block away from The Art Institute of Chicago and is an eight-minute walk to either entrance: the main entrance at Michigan & Congress or the North entrance at Monroe & Columbus. Electric vehicle charging is available at this location. You may also enter this location at 17-21 E Adams St.

Weekend Rate: $96 (Thur 7/28 10am – Mon 8/1 10am)

1-Day Rate: $24 (24 hours, Thur, Fri, Sat, or Sun)

 

Location: 318 S. Federal St. is a covered self-park garage that’s about an eight-minute walk to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Weekend Rate: $100 (Thur 7/28 10am – Mon 8/1 10am)

1-Day Rate: $25 (24 hours, Thur, Fri, Sator Sun)

 

Location: 1 E 8th St. is a covered self-park garage that’s about a nine-minute walk to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. This facility allows in/out privileges, which means you can enter and exit more than once during your reservation. The rates below are good until midnight. If you think you’ll be parked later than midnight, you may want to purchase multiple days.

1-Day Rate: $25 (24 hours, Only valid midnight-midnight, Thur, Fri, Sator Sun)

 

Location: 730 S. Clark St. is a covered self-park garage that’s a ten-minute walk to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

1-Day Rate: $25 (24 hours, Sat or Sun)

 

Location: 2 E. 8th St. is a covered self-park garage that’s about a nine-minute walk to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

1-Day Rate: $25 (24 hours on Sun)

 

Location: Willis Tower Garage (211 W. Adams St.) is a covered self-park garage that’s a 17-minute walk from the north entrance at Monroe & Columbus. Electric vehicle charging is available at this location. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Weekend Rate: $100 (Thur 7/28 10am – Mon 8/1 10am)

1-Day Rate: $25 (24 hours, Thur, Fri, Sator Sun)

 

Location: AON Garage is an underground garage that’s about an eight-minute walk to the north entrance at Monroe & Columbus.  The entrance to this parking facility is on the lower level of Lake Street. GPS is unreliable in the lower (underground) levels of Chicago, so please refer to the directions in your SpotHero reservation. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once during the hours of your reservation.

Best Parking Deals Near Public Transit

If you’re visiting from out of town, consider parking your car for the entire weekend and taking public transit to the festival. Here are a few great weekend rates in some of Chicago’s most popular neighborhoods:

Lincoln Park

Location: 527 W Webster Ave. is a self-park garage in the heart of Lincoln Park. Walk about 13 minutes to the Red line at Fullerton. Take it to Jackson and walk to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. The trip will take you 30-35 minutes. This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Weekend Rate: $45 (Fri 7/29 3pm – Mon 8/1  3pm)

 

River North

Location: Mart Parc Orleans Garage is a self-park garage at 437 N. Orleans St., in the heart of River North. After you park your car, walk to the Brown line a block away at Merchandise Mart. Take it to the Harold Washington Library-State/Van Buren stop, and walk about six minutes to the main entrance at Michigan & Congress. The trip will take you about 20 minutes.

This facility does not allow in/out privileges, which means you cannot enter and exit more than once.

Weekend Rate: $42 (Fri 6pm – Mon 8/1 6am) – a great deal in River North!

 

West Loop

Location: The 525 W. Monroe garage is a covered self-park garage within walking distance of the West Loop’s bustling restaurant scene.  Enter the garage at 111 S. Clinton St. To get to Lollapalooza, walk 3 minutes south to the bus stop at Jackson & Clinton St. Take the Jackson bus (route 126) to the Michigan & Van Buren/Congress stop, which drops you off steps from the north entrance at Monroe & Columbus. The trip will take you about about 18 minutes.

Weekend Rate: $42 (Fri 3pm – Mon 8/1 6am)
