Chicago is an extremely popular destination for holiday shopping. With the holiday lights festival approaching quickly, it will be sure to attract shoppers from all over. Outside of the retail world there is an abundance of awesome restaurants, with all the shopping that goes down you’re bound to be in the mood for some killer food. Outside of the shopping and eating, The Magnificent Mile is filled with phenomenal architecture from the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue and up to the John Hancock Building.
Arguably the busiest shopping day of the year, Black Friday is said to be the kickoff in holiday shopping for retailers across the country. But did you know big name retailers like Walmart and Sears, Target, and Toys R Us are opening their doors on Thanksgiving?
In Chicago, The Water Tower Place opens are 6:00 am on Friday morning, with some retailers inside opening up when the clock strikes twelve. The Water Tower has already posted their holiday shopping hours from The Festival of Lights thru the first week of next year.
With this hectic shopping day avoid the clutter of people crossing streets and one ways while looking for parking, reserve it ahead of time.
