It doesn’t get much better than summertime in Chicago! Chicago summers are filled with festivals, sports, live music, patios, and of course, the lakefront beaches along Lake Michigan. One of Chicago’s most popular beaches is North Avenue Beach, located east of Lincoln Park and just north of downtown.
North Avenue Beach is open every day from 6 am – 11 pm. If you plan on driving the North Avenue Beach, make sure you reserve a parking spot before heading out. North Avenue is one of the larger beaches along the Chicago Lakefront, which will draw large crowds. Spend more time in the sand and less time circling for a parking spot.
