NYC Getting Electric Car Infrastructure

The problem with electric car adoption has been the classic “chicken and egg” problem.  Cities don’t want to put in the infrastructure unless there is the demand for it from car owners, and people don’t want to own electric cars, unless the infrastructure exists.  Mayor Bloomberg has paved the way in New York City adding electric charging stations earlier this month with many more planned.  As the electric car infrastructure and charging stations are built, the demand for electric cars is expected to increase.  There are already some options available for electric cars.  The trend is on the rise.  Tesla recently inked a $100M deal with Toyota for electric powertrains.
