The 2015 Chicago Toy and Game Fair runs from 10AM to 6PM, on Saturday November 21 and Sunday November 22. The Fair is at Navy Pier in Festival Hall A on the east end of the Pier, on the second level above the Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows.
At The Toy & Game Fair, kids (and grown kids) can preview and play games from around the world, and even meet the inventors. There are also exhibits and other attractions to check out. Don’t miss the details and a full list of exhibitors at the official website.
And before you get your game face on, keep these things in mind!
Book Parking in Advance
You know it: as you pull near Navy Pier – thinking of how you can pull off becoming an apprentice to one of of these toy inventors – you’ll suddenly realize you need to find a parking spot. Thousands of people will be headed to downtown this weekend, and the lucky ones would’ve booked their parking in advance.
Know the Map
Like Risk or Stratego, knowing the map for this event is key to victory. Figure out your can’t-miss booths and toys to get the most out of this event.
Wear your Walking Shoes
While you typically associate games and some toys with sitting around a table or a cozy chair, this kind of thinking could leave you looking for a do-over. The Toy & Game Fair will be a lot of walking and standing while you take in the sights. More so if you elect to explore Navy Pier or the other nearby festivities. Choose to wear a good pair of shoes this day and you’ll be guaranteed to feel like a winner.
