Paul McCartney Concert Wrigley Field Setup Begins on Monday July 25, 2011
At approximately 7am on Monday; Trucks, Cranes and Forklifts will begin assembling in the area near the intersections of Waveland and Sheffield. This is a big undertaking. Transforming Wrigley Field into a Concert venue with increased seating is no small undertaking. Stay away from the area if you can. Take alternate routes to avoid the immediate areas during the set up which will last from July 25th to July 29th. There are many parking restrictions due to the Paul McCartney concert. If you are going to the Paul McCartney Concert and need parking, you can reserve it ahead of time through SpotHero.
Area residents take note that the Wrigley Field stadium lights will be on all week, and that sound checks will begin Saturday July 30, 2011 from 9pm to 10pm and continue on both concert days. Residents also note: All vehicles parked in the Blue Lot need to be removed by 12pm on Friday July 29. Vehicles can then return to the Blue lot at 12pm on August the 2nd.
Residential Permit parking and street parking restrictions will be strictly enforced. Do not parking on the street without a Chicago 383 permit. You will be ticketed or worse towed. Priority Towing company will be enforcing tow zone restrictions across the area. If you need parking for the concert, you can reserve it ahead of time.
