National Zoo Official Parking

While admission to the National Zoo is free, parking around the area can get expensive. The Zoo’s official site states that official parking passes are available for purchase for a flat $30. This pass allows you to park in Lot A, B, D, and E surrounding the Zoo. Lots A and B are closer to the main entrance, while D and E are closer to the kids area and petting zoo. The reserved parking includes zoo entry for up to 8 people.

The parking lot must be entered before 3 p.m., as the zoo closes at 4 p.m. All cars must enter through the car entrance at 3001 Connecticut Ave, NW. Be aware during peak months, the official lots may fill up by 10 a.m. Make sure you reserve your parking in advance to avoid circling the block the day of!

Public Transit to the National Zoo
