SpotHero was founded in Chicago in 2011 after our founders racked up thousands of dollars in parking tickets and set off to find a better solution. Parking was almost exclusively an in-person and all-cash business, and how to park legally was not always clear. The idea of creating an online parking marketplace to solve parking problems was almost impossible to imagine.
SpotHero has since launched a website, an iOS and Android app, and expanded our offerings from a single neighborhood in Chicago to over 400 cities across North America. We have helped drivers get to the office, the airport, park for games, concerts, and special events.
And now, SpotHero has helped park 100 million cars.
