Summerfest is a festival full of eclectic activities that will make your summer one to remember. This year’s can’t-miss line-up is sure to draw a lot of fans. Most of the 900,000 people attending this year will come in from out of town. When it comes to Summerfest parking, this means higher rates and sold-out garages.

The good news? We’re here to help with dozens of affordable Summerfest parking spots for you to choose from. You can use SpotHero to reserve parking in advance, located within a mile and half of the festival grounds. Many are along the Summerfest shuttle route.

Summerfest Parking – Shuttle Service Options

Downtown Shuttle Service

The Downtown Shuttle is a great way to avoid getting caught in a traffic jam. Park for less away from the fest. Shuttle in and shuttle out for an easy way to escape the crowds near the festival grounds.

Here’s what you need to know:

– Shuttle buses run approximately every 15 minutes from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m., running along Wisconsin Ave or Michigan Street.

– Heading towards the festival, the shuttle will stop at N. James Lovell Street and N. Jackson Street, plus any bus stop with the Summerfest logo on it.

– Roundtrip fare costs $3, with 50% off for children, seniors, etc. Exact change is required.

Freeway Flyer Service

Catch a Milwaukee County Transit System Freeway Flyer to Summerfest’s Mid Gate from a park-ride lot where parking is free. Flyers provide service on weekdays every 30 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every 15 minutes from 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays service is every 15-20 minutes. Times may be impacted by construction and peak traffic periods. Fares will be $5 round trip or $3.00 for children, seniors, etc.

IMPORTANT – If you park in one of the park-ride lots, make sure to park in designated spaces to ensure buses and patrols can get through the lots easily. Cars that are parked illegally could receive tickets and/or be towed by local authorities.


Ozaukee County Express

Ozaukee County Express provides service from 11:30 am to 12:30 am daily, starting at the Saukville Wal-Mart (Hwy 33/Green Bay Ave.). The bus departs 13 minutes later from the Target/Home Depot (Hwy 60) in Grafton.

Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5:30pm – 8:30pm | Every 15 minutes

Sundays before 1pm – after 6pm | Every 30 minutes


Official Summerfest Parking

Summerfest offers official parking near the festival grounds. Parking lots open daily at 9:00 am. Official Summerfest parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-paid parking passes for specific dates during Summerfest may be purchased online. Be aware that parking passes offered through Summerfest do sell out. Preferred parking is $20 a day and Premier is $35 a day. There is no RV parking on the Summerfest grounds.
