Need parking for The San Francisco Marathon? We’ve got you covered!

July 24, 2022 marks the 45th running of The San Francisco Marathon (Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and Ultramarathon). Over 27,000 runners will fill the streets running past beautiful landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the Embarcadero.

Whether you’re a runner or spectator, here is everything you need to know for parking on race day!

Parking for The San Francisco Marathon

Due to many street closures and heavy traffic, you’ll want to be sure to reserve parking for The San Francisco Marathon in advance with SpotHero.

Parking for the 1st Half Marathon and 2nd Half Marathon

The 1st Half starts on the Embarcadero and ends in the Golden Gate Park, and the 2nd Half Marathon starts in the Presidio and ends at the main Marathon finish line on the Embarcadero. These runners are encouraged to reserve parking near the Main Start Line on Embarcadero and take their respective runner shuttles between their start and finish lines. Full Marathon Schedule & Corrals:

On Race Morning, all Full Marathon runners must enter their designated corral at the start of the race – Full start time is 5:30am. Corral time and locations are subject to change.

The Main Start Line

5:30 a.m. at Mission Street and The Embarcadero San Francisco, California

The Main Finish Line

Folsom Street and The Embarcadero, San Francisco, California

Course Map

The Full Marathon course takes runners through a loop in San Francisco running past landmarks like the Coit Tower, AT&T Park, and unique neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury and The Mission. Check out the interactive course map below or download it here.
