Manhattanhenge
Dates: May 28-29 & July 12-13
Location: Anywhere in Manhattan within the grid system above 14th Street, but 42nd St is a very popular spot. Experts also recommend 72nd St. for an unobstructed view.
Price: Free!

SummerStage
Dates: May 17-October 20
Location: Various locations throughout New Yrok
Price: Varies depending on the event, but most are free!
Details: This citywide concert series is a great way to enjoy New York’s many parks and outdoor spaces! With acts that vary widely from popular artists and classical, there is literally something for every music fan. You can learn more and view a full schedule of events here.
Catch a show at Nederlander Theater
Dates: The Who’s Tommy has an evening performance Tuesday-Saturday, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Exact times vary depending on the day.
Location: 208 West 41st St., New York.

Details: Escaping the summer heat has never been this exhilarating. Catch a performance of the Tony Award Nominated Best Musical Revival The Who’s Tommy at the Nederlander Theater this summer, returning to Broadway for the first time since 1991! The iconic rock opera with thrilling choreography tells the story of Tommy Walker as he journeys from humble beginnings to become an international pinball star idolized by many. Bryant Park Summer Film Festival
Dates: Weekly beginning Mid-June, Lawn and concessions open at 5 p.m., films start at 8 p.m.
Location: Bryant Park, between 5th and 6th Avenues & 40th and 42nd Sts.
Price: Free, food and drinks available for a fee.
Details: Movies in Bryant Park have become a summer staple over the years, and it’s no wonder why: a night of films in one of New York’s most iconic parks is not something that is easy to forget! Social Dance at The Oasis
Dates: June 13- August 8, Dance Lessons begin at 6:30 p.m., Live Music at 8 p.m.
Location: Lincoln Center, between 9th Ave. and Amsterdam Ave., & W. 62nd and 65th Sts.
Price: Free!
Details: Everyone can find their favorite type of dance at this annual summer event at the city’s largest outdoor dance floor. Everything from swing to silent disco is on the agenda. Dates: Qualifying rounds run August 19-25, Tournament runs August 26 – September 8
Location: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows- Corona Park, Flushing

Details: One of the biggest sporting events of the year is out in Queens, and it’s definitely an event to remember—plus watching other people run around while you sit and relax is always good in our books. Check out one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the country, you may find yourself catching the tennis fever!
Cheer on the Yankees
Dates: Ongoing until September 29.

Location: Yankee Stadium, 1 E 161 St., the Bronx
