Opened in 1914, Wrigley Field has been home to the Chicago Cubs since 1916. It is the second oldest park in Major League Baseball, and a national historic landmark. It has a seating capacity of 41,600. It hosts numerous games and events throughout the year.

Getting to Wrigley Field

Parking at Wrigley Field

Located in the busy Wrigleyville neighborhood, free and street parking is extremely limited and in high demand. If you opt for street parking, make sure to read all posted signs and warnings carefully.

Official parking is available for a fee. Rates vary depending on the event, and lots are first-come, first-serve. You can also reserve parking at nearby facilities or pay locations, or spot owners directly; some are cash-only, so come prepared! Public Transportation to Wrigley Field

Visitors are encouraged to take public transportation to Wrigley Field whenever possible. Wrigley Field is accessible via the Addison stop on the red line of the ‘L’ elevated train line. It can also be accessed via the #8, #22, #80, and #152 bus lines. You can find routes, schedules,  fares, and additional details on the Chicago Transit Authority website.

Hungry? Outside food is allowed inside Wrigley Field. Outside alcohol is not permitted. Containers of any kind that are made of glass, metal, or aluminum are not allowed.

Wrigley Field is a cashless venue. They accept all major credit and debit cards.

Wrigley Field Bag Policy

Bags must not exceed 16’’ x 16’’ x 8’’, roughly the size of a personal airline carry-on. Backpacks and hard-sided coolers are not permitted inside Wrigley Field. All bags are subject to search. You can find a list of other prohibited items and learn more about the bag policy here.
